Carroll County Occupational License Fee Ordinance
Carroll County has enacted an Occupational License Fee Ordinance, also known as the occupational tax, which applies to all businesses and employees within the county.
Important Tax Changes Effective January 1, 2024
The Carroll County Fiscal Court has approved an amendment to Ordinance #07-1113, which modifies the Occupational License Fee Ordinance. Key changes include: Increased Fee Rate: The Occupational License Fee rate will rise to 1.5%. Removal of Exemption: The previous $5,000 annual exemption will be removed.
